The Rev. Mark Arbisi is the new pastor at Christ Church on Dane Street in Kennebunk. He was previously with the Union-Congregational Church of Waupun, Wisconsin. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and also studied at St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, and the Art Students League in New York City. He earned his master of divinity degree at Bangor Seminary and also has served at a church in Wabasha, Minnesota, at First Congregational Church of Buxton and at the Monson United Church of Christ. He ran a number of arts and crafts-related businesses prior to studying for the ministry. He and his wife, Renee, have opened Morph Gallery & Emporium in Kennebunk. They met at the United Methodist Church Camp, Mechuwana, in Winthrop and have been married for 16 years.

Deacon Roger Normand has been named the 2014 Deacon of the Year for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland. He has served in the Parish of the Ascension of the Lord (St. Raphael Church, Kittery; Our Lady of the Angels Church, South Berwick; St. Christopher Church, York; Star of the Sea Church, York Beach) since 2004 and was previously a high school French teacher at schools in Maine and New Hampshire.
