GORHAM — Charlotte Smith had a goal and two assists Tuesday night, sparking Gorham to a 3-1 victory against Sanford in an SMAA field hockey game.

After Mary Adams scored for Gorham (13-1) and Morgan Champagne for the Spartans (10-4), Reagan Emerson broke the 1-1 tie with 12 minutes left. Andrea Stemm carried the ball straight upfield, driving past several defenders before passing to Smith on the right of the goal. Smith crossed the ball to Emerson for the lead.

Megan Baker made one save for the Rams. Sarah Goldthwaite stopped 11 shots for Sanford.

SCARBOROUGH 5, DEERING 0: Abby Walker scored three goals as the Red Storm (14-0) cruised by the Rams ( 6-6-2) at Scarborough.

Maddie Dobecki picked up two assists, setting up Lilly Nygren in the first half, then Walker. Gabby Forino scored in the second half from Kristen Murray.

MASSABESIC 2, NOBLE 1: Mira Kuni scored an unassisted goal, then set up Emma Rutledge later in the first half as the Mustangs (5-6-3) edged the Knights (3-11) at North Berwick.

Josie Hubbard answered in the second half from Katie Taylor.

SOUTH PORTLAND 2, CHEVERUS 1: Bonge Lako scored two second-half goals to carry the Red Riots (5-9) past Cheverus (5-7-2) at South Portland.

The Stags led 1-0 at the half on Abby Ford’s penalty stroke. Lako tied it 15 minutes into the second half before scoring the winner five minutes later, lifting the ball over the goalie’s stick from a scramble.

MARANACOOK 4, MORSE 0: Ellie Longfellow scored two goals as Maranacook (3-11) downed Morse (1-13) at Readfield.

WINDHAM 2, BIDDEFORD 1: Matti Marcello scored six minutes into the first overtime as the Eagles (4-8-1) stopped the Tigers (6-7) at Windham.

Abbie Paquette scored unassisted for Biddeford in the first half. Marcello answered on a breakaway with six minutes remaining in regulation.

THORNTON ACADEMY 7, MCAULEY 0: The Trojans (11-3) received goals from six players and shut out the Lions (0-14) at Portland.

Ashley Houp had two goals, Alicyn Romprey and Isabella Robinson scored in the first half, and Taylor Ouellette, Libby Pomerleau and Grace Pickering scored in the second.

WAYNFLETE 1, WELLS 0: Lucy Weaver crossed a pass through the circle to Madison Pellow, who slapped it into the cage eight minutes into the game as Waynflete (4-8-1) beat the Warriors (6-7) at Wells.

Kiera MacWhinnie made 13 saves for the Flyers. Mary Hebden blocked four shots for Wells.

CAPE ELIZABETH 2, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Mariah Deschino and Sarah O’Conner scored as Cape Elizabeth (7-4-1) beat the Raiders (4-5-2) at Fryeburg.

FALMOUTH 3, FREEPORT 0: Tyler Spence scored twice as Falmouth (6-4-2) beat the Falcons (3-8-1) at Freeport.

YARMOUTH 3, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Corey Langenbach scored from Lilly Watson and Sara D’Appolonia added a goal to give the Clippers (6-3-1) a 2-0 halftime lead against Gray-New Gloucester (6-6) at Yarmouth.

Emma Woods made it 2-1 before Katie Clemmer countered for Yarmouth.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 7, MEDOMAK VALLEY 0: Avery Bond had two goals and two assists as the Eagles (7-2-3) won at South China.

GREELY 6, LAKE REGION 1: The Rangers (10-1-1) scored four first-half goals and handled the Lakers (5-6-1) at Naples.

Jocelyn Mitiguy scored a pair of goals, and Margaret Reed, Mia Lambert, Isabella Hutnak and Kristina Volta added goals for Greely.

WAYNFLETE 1, SACOPEE VALLEY 1: Arianna Giguere scored for the Flyers (7-1-3) and Courtney Ryan for the Hawks (9-2-2) at South Hiram.

After a scoreless first half, Giguere scored unassisted. Ryan answered off a throw-in by Brittany Ryan, connecting from 23 yards out.

YARMOUTH 3, CHEVERUS 0: Kenzie Sheehan had six aces and Emily Parker four kills as the Clippers (11-1) beat Cheverus (2-11) 25-21, 25-14, 25-21 at Yarmouth.

Liz Clark added 17 assists for Yarmouth. Margaret Rigney had four kills and two blocks for the Stags.

GREELY 3, SOUTH PORTLAND 1: Hannah Butland had 20 set assists, six aces and a kill as the Rangers (12-1) defeated the Red Riots (3-9) at South Portland, 25-18, 25-15, 15-25, 25-15.

Kayley Cimino had 10 kills, five blocks, two aces and an assist; Lauren Weickert added five kills, a block and an ace, while Alex Tebbs had five kills and two aces.

CAPE ELIZABETH 3, KENNEBUNK 0: Lydia Brennerman served seven aces and added 28 digs, leading the Capers (10-2) to a 25-10, 25-13, 25-18 sweep of Kennebunk (3-9) at Cape Elizabeth.

SCARBOROUGH 3, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: Mina Puig served 15 points and added five kills to power the Red Storm (10-3) to a 25-16, 25-14, 25-14 victory against the Golden Trojans (5-8) at Saco.
