Portland’s Christmas tree is ready for its moment.

Officials say the tree in Portland’s downtown Monument Square will be lit with over 3,000 lights at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The tree arrived in Monument Square last week.

City residents Mikki Jones-Little and David Little of Brentwood Street provided the tree, which workers cut from their yard before transferring it to the square. Workers have been stringing the tree with lights and prepping it for the lighting ceremony.
