FARMINGTON — A Wilton man is facing charges for allegedly using a snow plow to try to break into a Farmington pharmacy.
Police say Kenneth Nurse repeatedly used a snow plow attached to a pickup truck to ram the rear emergency door of Mt. Blue Drug on Friday night.
He was spotted by two men on their way to pick up a takeout dinner.
They called police, and the 62-year-old Nurse was arrested on charges of aggravated criminal mischief, operating under the influence and attempted burglary.
When officers arrived, they discovered the rear door to the pharmacy was heavily damaged. Numerous tire tracks showed the truck driver tried repeatedly to break down the back door using the plow.
Nurse was summoned to appear in court March 3.
