Firefighters from Indian Township and a number of surrounding towns battled a fire Sunday in a large log house in the small Washington County town of Waite.
The call was received at 10:43 a.m. when a resident called to report that a vacuum cleaner had exploded in the garage, and fire spread through the home, according to a dispatcher with Indian Township. Nobody was injured.
