CAPE ELIZABETH — Ben Shea scored six goals Tuesday night to lead Cape Elizabeth to a 13-1 victory against Greely in a schoolboy lacrosse game.

Griffin Thoreck added three goals and one assist, and Owen Thoreck scored a pair of goals for Cape Elizabeth (7-1).

Mitch Mullin scored and Dylan Sinclair made 18 saves for the Rangers (5-3).

MARSHWOOD 9, MASSABESIC 8: Troy Stevens scored three goals and Nick Barrett made 15 saves to lift the Hawks (1-8) over the Mustangs (0-8) at South Berwick.

Phil Butler added a pair of goals, and Jacob Scremin, Jake Cagnina, Brandon Cagnina and Hanssen Casey each scored once for the Hawks, who never trailed.

Cameron Roy led the Mustangs with three goals, and Kevin Nguyen and Brandon Roy added two goals apiece.

SOUTH PORTLAND 15, DEERING 5: Eben Babbidge had four goals and an assist, Andrew Whipple added two goals and four assists, and the Red Riots (7-1) handled the Rams (2-6) at South Portland.

Chris Mitchell added three goals for South Portland. Nate Richards scored two for Deering.

WAYNFLETE 23, LAKE REGION 4: Harry Baker-Connick collected seven goals and two assists for the Flyers (6-2) against the Lakers (0-8) at Naples.

Ford Malter added six goals and four assists, and Cooper Chap finished with four goals and three assists for Waynflete.

Nic LePage had a goal and an assist for Lake Region.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 14, WELLS 5: Huxley Lovering had three goals and six assists to pace the Raiders (3-5) against Wells (2-5) at Fryeburg.

Jake Maidment added four goals, and Ryan Caracciolo and Corey Thibodeau each had three for Fryeburg, which led 8-1 after one quarter.

Ethan Marsh and Evan Whitten had two goals apiece for Wells.

CHEVERUS 15, NOBLE 1: Nick Schleh had five goals and one assist, Max Coffin added four goals and three assists, and the Stags (3-5) routed the Knights (3-5) at Portland.

James Kane added two goals and three assists, and Sean Walsh made 10 saves for Cheverus.

THORNTON ACADEMY 19, BIDDEFORD 4: Charlie Katz had five goals and two assists, and Zach Bryant added four goals and one assist to lead the Golden Trojans (6-2) past the Tigers (3-5) at Saco.

Isaac Sinclair and Justin Masteller each added two goals and an assist for Thornton.

Cody Sevigny had three goals for Biddeford.

YARMOUTH 8, FALMOUTH 6: Joe Oliva had five goals and one assist, and the Clippers (6-2) held on to beat the Yachtsmen (5-3) at Falmouth.

George Gilbert scored three goals, and Bryce Kuhn had two goals and two assists for the Yachtsmen, who trailed 8-3 at halftime.

WINSLOW 12, MT. BLUE 3: Jimmy Fowler had three goals and two assists to lead Winslow (4-3) over Mt. Blue (1-7) at Farmington.

BASEBALL

BIDDEFORD 6, PORTLAND 3: Casey Twomey pitched a four-hitter with nine strikeouts and two walks, and Brady Crepeau cracked a two-run homer in a three-run first inning as the Tigers (3-7) beat Portland (8-3) at Biddeford.

John Williams had two hits, a stolen base and a run for the Bulldogs.

MARSHWOOD 10, WINDHAM 0: Zach Quintal struck out five and walked two in a one-hitter, and also hit a pair of singles and drove in two runs for the Hawks (8-2) against the Eagles (3-7) in five innings at South Berwick.

Zach Hodges and Ryan O’Neil added two hits and three RBI apiece for the Hawks, who scored four runs in both the second and third innings before closing the game with a pair of runs in the fifth.

Windham’s hit was a single to right by Tim Greenlaw in the second.

GORHAM 5, MASSABESIC 4: Michael Chapin hit a bases-loaded single that scored Andy Schmidt in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the Rams (4-6) over the Mustangs (4-7) at Gorham.

Schmidt finished with three hits and scored three runs for the Rams, and Chapin had a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in two runs.

Jackson Taylor entered the game with a runner on first and no outs in the top of the eighth, and struck out the next three batters to earn the win.

Weston Bergeron had two hits, two runs and one RBI for Massabesic.

THORNTON ACADEMY 7, WESTBROOK 1: Conor Purvis pitched 52/3 innings of two-hit ball and Ben Lambert drove in three runs to lead the Golden Trojans (8-3) past the Blue Blazes (4-7) at Saco.

Lambert tripled home two runs during Thornton’s six-run second inning, then knocked in another in the sixth. Brogan Searle-Belanger added two hits, two runs and two RBI for the Trojans.

Purvis allowed an unearned run on three hits in improving to 4-0.

Patrick Weimer doubled and scored on an error in the Westbrook third.

He also pitched four innings of four-hit relief for the Blazes, striking out six.

CHEVERUS 8, BONNY EAGLE 5: Logan McCarthy had three hits, including a double and a triple, drove in two runs and scored twice to pace the Stags (7-3) over the Scots (7-4) at Portland.

Alex Libby and Jared Brooks added two RBI apiece for the Stags, who scored three runs in the fourth inning to break a 5-5 tie.

Trailing 5-0, the Scots tied it with five runs in the third, including a three-run double by Drake Laughlin.
