Henry Curran, South Portland, baseball: Curran came within three outs of pitching a no-hitter in a key matchup with Portland. Curran, a left-hander, finished with a one-hitter and 14 strikeouts in the 4-0 win. He had a perfect game until a batter reached on an error in the fifth inning. Curran also tripled home a run in the fifth.

Honorable mention

Nick Mathieu, Mt. Ararat, tennis: He completed a perfect regular season with his 12th consecutive straight-set victory as the Eagles improved to 11-1. A runner-up in the state singles tournament last year, Mathieu is the top seed this year.

Brady Anderson, Sacopee Valley, baseball: Anderson had three hits, scored four runs and drove in two to lead the Hawks (11-1) to a 19-2 victory against Waynflete. In the previous game, Anderson had an RBI single in the fifth in a 4-2 win over Traip Academy. On Wednesday, Anderson had two-run triple in an 8-1 win over Old Orchard Beach.

Mike Susi, Gorham, lacrosse: Susi, a senior midfielder, scored seven goals to lead the Rams past Windham. He followed that up with two goals in an 8-3 loss to Scarborough.

Girls

Melodie Bailey, Noble, softball: Bailey had a double, triple and scored three runs in an 11-4 victory over Deering. In a 6-5 win over McAuley, Bailey hit two home runs with five RBI and two runs. And then against Marshwood, she had an RBI single with the bases loaded in an 8-0 win over the Hawks.

Honorable mention

Margot Andreasen, Portland, tennis: She won three matches at No. 1 singles by a combined score of 36-1 to lead Portland (10-1) to its 10th straight victory. Andreasen has yet to drop a set this season and is the SMAA’s only player unbeaten at No. 1 singles.

Sarah Micucci, South Portland, softball: Micucci hit a two-run triple and added a two-run double in a 5-4 loss to Scarborough after getting three hits with two RBI in a nine-inning 9-8 setback to Biddeford.

Lindsey Poirier, Marshwood, lacrosse: Poirier, a senior midfielder, scored six goals in a win over Cheverus, and had seven goals and an assist in a victory over Biddeford.
