FREEPORT — Harry Baker-Connick had four goals and two assists Tuesday to lead Waynflete to an 11-9 victory against Freeport in a schoolboy lacrosse game.
Cooper Chap finished with two goals and two assists for Waynflete, and Baker-Connick collected 12 ground balls for the Flyers (9-3), who overcame a 26-save effort by Zach Wogan of Freeport.
Sam Wogan had five goals, Connor Dostie added two goals and an assist, and Ramsey Dodge and Brady LaFrance also scored for Freeport (6-6).
BASEBALL
BIDDEFORD 13, NOBLE 3: Kerry Crepeau was 4 for 5 with three doubles and four RBI to lead the Tigers (6-10) to a six-inning win over the Knights (0-16) at Biddeford.
Joey Curit added two hits and three RBI for Biddeford. Casey Twomey pitched a three-hitter, striking out five and walking for.
Kasey Rogers had two hits and an RBI for Noble.
GIRLS’ LACROSSE
THORNTON ACADEMY 19, SANFORD 3: Lauren Wells and Katie McCrum had three goals and three assists apiece to pace the Golden Trojans (9-3) over Sanford (6-6) at Saco.
Jules Grondin also had three goals for Thornton.
Maddie Leigh scored twice for the Spartans.
SCARBOROUGH 13, BIDDEFORD 6: Kaitlin Prince scored four goals, Jamie Sargent and Abby Corbin each had two, and the Red Storm (7-4) pulled away in the second half to beat the Tigers (7-5) at Biddeford.
Sammi Shoebottom made nine saves for Scarborough, which outscored Biddeford 8-3 in the second half.
Camryn McKeown scored three goals and Taylor Turgeon had two for the Tigers.
LAKE REGION 11, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 4: Madi Simms had four goals and two assists as the Lakers (9-2) handled the Raiders (3-8) at Naples.
Molly Christensen and Lauren Jakobs each added two goals and an assist, and Rachel Bell made 15 saves for the Lakers.
Mary Shea had three goals for Fryeburg.
OCEANSIDE 10, ERSKINE ACADEMY 2: Serena Beal scored three goals to lead the Mariners (10-1) over Erskine Academy (1-10) at Rockport.
