Two Nebraska men have been charged in connection with a series of convenience store burglaries in western Maine in which alcohol, cigarettes and chewing tobacco were stolen.

State Police arrested three men in all Wednesday night at a home in East Dixfield where they were staying. Police charged Einer Bonilla, 21, and Duane Bailey, 27, both of Nebraska, and D’Kota Rowe, 20, of East Dixfield, police said. Police recovered some of the alcohol and tobacco products.

Bailey and Bonilla were living with Rowe while they work for his mother’s concession stand that operates at local fairs, police said. The burglaries took place late Tuesday and early Wednesday at the Schoolhouse Variety in Weld, Our Family Variety in New Vineyard and My Dad’s Place in North Jay. In each case, the burglars broke the front door glass to get inside.

Images from security cameras showed two men in the stores wearing bandannas over their faces and gloves on their hands.
