Reading the paper over morning coffee, I’ve been following our governor’s saga regarding legislative vetoes, his angry vows to veto any and everything that comes across his desk, the Good Will-Hinckley hiring debacle and so on.
Turning then to the second section July 1, I was greeted by the bold headline “LePage to fight Portland … .” It occurred to me how refreshing it would be to open the paper some morning and be greeted by the news that “Maine governor offers to work constructively with … .” Wishful thinking?
