For the third time this year, the Nickelodeon Cinemas in downtown Portland has been robbed.
According to police, a man entered the movie theater on Temple Street around 10 p.m. on Tuesday and approached the clerk. He held a handgun and demanded money.
The female clerk told police that she gave an undisclosed amount of cash to the man, who fled on foot.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 150 pounds. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Police said the Nickelodeon had previously been robbed in January and April of this year. Detectives are investigating whether the robberies are connected.
