HARRISBURG, Pa. — Dan Uggla and Denard Span, on a rehab assignment from the Washington Nationals, each hit a home run Saturday night for the Harrisburg Senators in a 10-1 victory against the Portland Sea Dogs at Metro Bank Park.

Uggla blasted a two-run homer and grounded a two-run single to left, both in the first inning as the Senators (61-65) opened a 9-0 lead. Span, who scored twice in the first inning, added a solo homer in the third as Harrisburg extended the lead to 10-0.

Drew Vettleson accounted for three runs in the first, lining a two-run single before scoring on Uggla’s single. Uggla had three of the Senators’ 15 hits.

Dustin Lawley singled home Oscar Tejeda in the fourth for Portland. Tejeda finished with two of the Sea Dogs’ seven hits, and Carlos Asuaje upped his hitting streak to eight games with a line single to right in the fourth.

Mike McCarthy (6-7) retired one batter, giving up nine earned runs on seven hits and two walks. Kyle Kaminska relieved McCarthy and held Harrisburg to four hits over 42/3 innings.

Austin Voth (5-6) was the winning pitcher with five innings of one-run ball. Voth struck out six while allowing five hits and a walk.
