Ciera Berthiaume, Windham senior, forward: Scored 20 goals as a junior and has 48 in her career. A relentless force. “No other team in our league has that type of player,” said Thornton Academy Coach Chris Kohl.

Lillian Bisset, Lincoln Academy senior, forward: Team leader with 11 goals last year and expected to be the top scoring threat for Eagles’ squad primed to challenge for Northern B supremacy.

Montana Braxton, Cape Elizabeth senior, midfield: All-Telegram pick is dominant in the middle of the field, can attack and is just as strong defensively.

Jenessa Corbett, Westbrook senior, midfield: Blue Blazes graduated several players so it will be up to the four-year varsity player to lead an inexperienced group.

Sara D’Appolonia, Yarmouth sophomore, midfield: Stepped into center midfield role as a freshman and impressed immediately with her speed, strength and skills.

Mariah Deschino, Cape Elizabeth junior, forward: The Capers’ leading scorer the past two seasons has ability to strike in multiple ways and will form a strong duo up top with Kate Breed.

Mary Farnkoff, Scarborough senior, midfield: Always a solid defensive midfielder, will look to be more involved with the offense this season for one of state’s top teams.

Madi Freeman, Bonny Eagle senior, midfield: Had six goals and seven assists as an outside striker and will shift to the center midfield for improved Scots.

Arianna Giguere, Waynflete senior, forward: Despite being slowed by injury at end of her junior season she still scored 13 goals for the Flyers.

Emma Gutheinz, Camden Hills senior, forward: Scored 20 goals with 10 assists in Windjammers’ 12-4-1 run to Eastern B semifinal. Camden moves up to Class A this year.

Vanessa Hodge, Sanford junior, forward: All-around player with good ball skills and an on-target shot will be the go-to threat for a Spartans’ team intent on reaching the playoff.

Chessa Hoekstra, Portland senior, midfield: A skilled two-way player and All-SMAA pick whose vision, ball control and passing helps create openings for scoring threats like Isabel Stehli and Kate Johnson.

Cady Houghton, Gorham senior, defense: Tall, strong and talented, the all-SMAA and All-Telegram choice is called “the best player in the state,” by Scarborough Coach Mike Farley.

Izzy Hutnak, Greely senior, forward/midfield: Tenacious hustler who had nine goals and nine assists as a junior works extremely well in tandem with Jocelyn Mitiguy.

Jade Jordan, Sacopee Valley senior, defense: Poised four-year starter with foot skills to counter-attack, she backboned No. 7 seed Sacopee to the 2014 Class C title.

Simone Lauture, Deering senior, forward: Second team all-SMAA pick after nine-goal season has speed strength and composure to finish scoring chances.

Charlotte Messer, Camden Hills junior, midfield: Notched 14 goals with eight assists as a sophomore to earn Maine Soccer Coaches Eastern B honors.

Jocelyn Mitiguy, Greely senior, forward: Coming off an 18-goal, 12-assist All-Telegram season, she is feared for both her speed and her ability to bang shots from distance for one of the top teams in the state.

Lexi Nason, Thornton senior, goalkeeper: One of two starters back for Thornton, Nason had seven shutouts as a junior and is confident playing the ball with her feet. She has verbally committed to Assumption College.

Torri Pelletier, Mt. Ararat senior, midfield: Strong and skilled, can create opportunities for others but will be asked to improve on 11-goal, six-assist season due to heavy graduation losses.

Kyra Schwartzman, Kennebunk senior, goalkeeper: Four-year starter uses footwork and game knowledge to be in the right spot. A team leader for on-the-rise Rams.

Tyler Spence, Falmouth senior, midfield: Creative and decisive, Spence finished with 14 goals and 12 assists last season.

Juliana Selser, South Portland sophomore, midfield: Led the Red Riots in assists as a freshman. Should team with her state 4×400 relay track champ teammate junior forward Callie O’Brien to form fast, hard-working scoring threat.

Sierra Swasey, York senior, defense/midfield: A four-year Wildcat starter who can be used in multiple positions due to her ability to read the game.
