A car flipped onto its roof Thursday afternoon on Route 295 northbound on the Forest Avenue overpass.

The car’s wheels and undercarriage were visible from Forest Avenue below.

By 4 p.m., only the flipped car and a fire engine remained along the side of the overpass, with highway traffic flowing around them.

Maine State Police said via its Twitter account around 4:30 p.m. that both lanes of highway traffic in the area of Exit 6B were back open.

It is unclear whether there were any injuries.
