CUMBERLAND — Caroline Swaney and Anna DeWolfe scored Friday night as undefeated Greely defeated York 2-0 in a Western Maine Conference schoolgirl soccer game.

The game matched the top two teams in the Class B South Heal point standings. Top-ranked Greely improved to 8-0 and dropped the second-ranked Wildcats to 5-2-2.

KENNEBUNK 1, WAYNFLETE 0: Leah Dumas scored midway through the first half from Sarah Thill to lead the Rams (3-4-2) past the Flyers (7-2) at Portland.

Kyra Schwartzman needed three saves to earn the shutout. Ali Pope had seven saves for Waynflete.

CHEVERUS 1, BONNY EAGLE 1: Mackenzie Johnston tied it for Cheverus (3-3-2) from Emily Turner with 6:06 left in the first half against the Scots (3-4-1) at Standish.

Madi Freeman set up Desiree Wright at 23:58 for Bonny Eagle.

Hannah Tyson had 14 saves for Cheverus. Sydney Billingham stopped seven shots for the Scots.

SACOPEE VALLEY 3, TRAIP ACADEMY 2: Olivia Ridley scored a late goal to lift the Hawks (9-0) over the Rangers (6-4) at Kittery.

Emma Auclair and Daria Barbour-Brown scored for Traip, which led 2-1 in the second half.

McKenzie Murphy and Jade Jordan also scored for Sacopee.

GORHAM 5, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: Emma Forgues and Emily Bragg scored two goals apiece to lead the Rams (7-2) past the Trojans (4-4) at Gorham.

Emma Smith made five saves to record the shutout and Hallie Shiers also scored for Gorham, which led 2-0 at halftime.

Lexi Nason finished with 12 saves for Falmouth.

LEAVITT 2, GARDINER 1: The Hornets (4-2-4) scored two second-half goals to defeat the Tigers (5-3-1) at Gardiner.

Allie Ryan and Nikki Daigle scored unassisted goals, and Angela Daigle made eight saves for Leavitt.

RICHMOND 2, RANGELEY 0: Meranda Martin scored both goals in the second half to lead the Bobcats (8-1)over the Lakers (4-3) at Rangeley.

Kelsea Anair had an assist and Sydney Tilton made one save for Richmond. Sydney Royce had 12 saves for Rangeley.

WAYNFLETE 1, KENNEBUNK 0: Ahmed Mohammed scored an unassisted goal 17:21 into the second half and the Flyers (6-2) held off the Rams (3-5-1) at Kennebunk.

Milo Belleau made 13 saves to record the shutout. Sean Berry finished with seven saves for the Rams.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 5, A.R. GOULD 0: Ethan Spaulding had two goals and an assist as the visiting Lions (6-2-1) handled the Bears (4-2) at South Portland.

Spaulding scored the first goal on a penalty kick, set up Killian Patterson on the second and added the final goal of the half for a 3-0 lead.

In the second half, Christian Patterson scored from Eddie Daigneault for his first career goal and Jeremiah Hammond added an unassisted goal.

Mason Jones made seven saves for the shutout. Malacai Beauchamp stopped 12 shots for A.R. Gould.

RICHMOND 3, RANGELEY 0: Tyler Soucy, Matt Rines and Mitchell Couturier scored for Richmond (6-1) against the Lakers (2-4-1) at Rangeley.

Nate Kendrick and Curtis Anderson had assists, and Zach Small stopped one shot for the Bobcats. Timmy White made 10 saves for Rangeley.

MESSALONSKEE 2, MT. ARARAT 2: Nate Violette and James Kouletsis scored for Messalonskee (4-4-2) against Mt. Ararat (5-3-2) at Topsham.

Dylan Jones had seven saves for Messalonskee.

FIELD HOCKEY

BIDDEFORD 2, DEERING 1: Paige Laverriere set up the winning goal in the first overtime and also scored for the Tigers (4-6) against the Rams (4-7) at Portland.

Laverriere, who assisted Hailey Allen on the winner, tied it about 11 minutes after Mia Thurston scored for Deering in the first half.

Taylor Wildes made 11 saves for Biddeford, including a stop of a penalty stroke with 55 seconds remaining.

Lillian Frager made three saves for Deering.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 5, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Nicole Thurston scored twice as the Raiders (8-3) handled the Patriots (6-6) at Gray.

Alexis Charles and Heather Howard added goals for Fryeburg.

Cara Waltz countered for Gray-New Gloucester.

Bridget Fahey made four saves for the Raiders. Adrianna Kimball stopped seven shots for the Patriots.

WINDHAM 2, NOBLE 0: Hannah Skvorak scored in the first half and Abby Libby in the second as the Eagles (2-8) shut out the Knights (0-8) at North Berwick.

Skvorak scored from Paige Laferriere at 11:11 and Libby added an unassisted goal.

Marcie LaRiccia stopped 12 shots for Noble. Grace Sawyer made six saves for Windham.

SCARBOROUGH 3, SOUTH PORTLAND 1: Lily Nygren scored in each half as the Red Storm (9-1) rallied past the Red Riots (1-9) at South Portland.

Amelia Papi of South Portland scored an early unassisted goal.

Grace Chitam stopped nine shots for the Red Riots. Alyssa Souza had six saves for Scarborough.

MARSHWOOD 3, BONNY EAGLE 1: Melanie Dube had a pair of goals as the Hawks (8-2-1) defeated the Scots (4-6) at South Berwick.

VOLLEYBALL

CHEVERUS 3, DEERING 1: The Stags (3-7) won the first two games to beat the Rams (5-6) at Portland.

Cheverus won the first two sets: 25-17 and 25-22. Deering won the third set 25-20 and Cheverus won the fourth, 25-16.
