AUGUSTA — Gov. Paul LePage and first lady Ann LePage are urging the public to drop off food for needy Mainers at the Blaine House.

The Blaine House food drive is being held Saturday, and will be repeated on Saturday, Nov. 14. Food contributors get a tour of the Blaine House, along with light refreshments.

The first family began the food drive in 2011, collecting thousands of pounds of food for pantries and shelters across Maine.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Good Shepherd Food-Bank will accept all donations brought to the Blaine House.
