PHILADELPHIA — Prosecutors are reviewing a police file as they decide whether to charge Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy in a Philadelphia nightclub brawl that left two off-duty police officers injured.

McCoy, 27, has retained a high-profile criminal defense lawyer while prosecutors review the police findings on the fight early Sunday.

The Philadelphia Police Department said the argument began as a possible misunderstanding over a bottle of champagne. Police said that the off-duty officers were kicked and punched, leaving one with a broken nose and broken ribs, and the other with a possible skull fracture.

Defense lawyer Jack McMahon represents McCoy. He said he doesn’t want to comment until a decision is made on charges.

BROWNS: The team said quarterback Johnny Manziel was diagnosed with a concussion late in the season by an independent neurologist, countering an NFL Network report it lied about the injury to cover up for him showing up intoxicated for practice.

The team issued a statement saying Manziel reported to the team’s facility Dec. 30 – three days after a loss to Kansas City – complaining of concussion symptoms. The Browns said Manziel was tested by the neurologist and was entered into the league’s concussion protocol. The team said he wasn’t cleared from the protocol until Jan. 12.

RAIDERS: Oakland terminated the contract of safety Nate Allen, less than one year after signing him as a free agent. Allen’s $4.9 million salary for 2016 would have been guaranteed if he was on the roster Wednesday.

Allen, 28, played just five games this season because of a pair of knee injuries. His departure leaves Oakland looking to fill both safety spots with Charles Woodson having already announced his retirement.

COLTS: Indianapolis released backup quarterback Ryan Lindley, who was signed just before the season finale and threw a touchdown pass that helped lead Indianapolis to a victory that allowed it to finish at 8-8.

RAMS: More than 56,000 people placed deposits on season tickets for the return of the team from St. Louis.

FALCONS: The owner, Arthur Blank, is planning surgery for what he said is a treatable form of prostate cancer.

TITANS: Tennessee released safety Michael Griffin after nine seasons in possibly its first step toward improving its secondary.
