Four people were arrested Tuesday in connection with a drug trafficking investigation by Biddeford police.

In a press release issued Wednesday, Deputy Police Chief JoAnne Fisk said Biddeford police, state drug agents and members of the U.S. Marshal’s Violent Offender Task Force stopped a vehicle driven by Duvall Davis, 38, of Mattapan, Massachusetts, on Route 111 Tuesday night.

Davis was charged with driving without license and possession of marijuana. Police say his passenger, Christina Moreland, 27, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, had 11 grams of crack cocaine.

Moreland, who was on probation from a drug trafficking conviction, was taken to the York County Jail and held on $50,000 bail.

Authorities made two more arrests Tuesday evening in connection with the alleged trafficking ring.

Peter Quimby, 37, was arrested outside his home on West Cutts Street in Biddeford, and James Ruane, 61, was arrested during a search of his home on St Mary’s Street.

Moreland, Quimby and Ruane are charged with aggravated drug trafficking.

Fisk said, “It is important to note that this investigation was started and sustained by concerned citizen information and attentive patrol officers.”
