YORK — Stephanie Rundlett struck out 19 batters and allowed just one hit as York beat Fryeburg Academy 3-0 in a Western Maine Conference softball game Friday.

Wendy Donnell gave York (3-1) a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third, scoring on a fielder’s choice grounder by Kiley Blondin. Donnell scored again in the fourth, along with Maeve Campbell, on a Tera Pepin single.

Fryeburg is 2-2.

FALMOUTH 4, FREEPORT 1: Julia Treadwell hit a two-run homer in the first inning and struck out 12 to lead the Yachtsmen (3-1) over the Falcons (1-3) in Falmouth.

Treadwell walked one and had a no-hitter through six innings before giving up an infield hit to Megan Cormier and an RBI double by Morgan Karnes.

Treadwell’s homer gave Falmouth a 2-0 lead. Liberty Ladd added an RBI single later in the first and scored in the third inning to give the Yachtsmen a 4-0 lead.

GREELY 7, WELLS 4: Kelsey Currier hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Rangers (2-0) scored four runs to rally for a win over the Warriors (2-2) at Cumberland.

Anya Chase went 4 for 4 with two runs scored for Wells.

YARMOUTH 6, TRAIP ACADEMY 3: Cate Ralph’s two-run double in the seventh inning helped the Clippers (2-1) secure a win over the Rangers (2-3) in Kittery.

Traip’s Taylor Kashmer cut her team’s deficit to 4-3 with a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth before Ralph broke it open again.

Winning pitcher Morgan Cooper allowed six hits.

THORNTON ACADEMY 12, MARSHWOOD 8: Libby Pomerleau hit a three-run homer and went 3 for 5 with four RBI as the Golden Trojans (3-1) outslugged the Hawks (0-3) in South Berwick.

There were five lead changes, and teams combined for 34 hits – 20 by Thornton. Eight batters had at least two hits for the Trojans.

Meaghan Sandler, Madison Eastman and Emersyn Colbath-Stevens smacked three hits apiece for Marshwood.

SANFORD 11, MASSABESIC 2: The Spartans (3-1) used a nine-run seventh inning to pull away from the Scots (2-1) in Waterboro.

Jen Jones picked up the win, striking out 11 while allowing three hits and two walks. Nicole Main went 2 for 5 with two doubles and three RBI, and Morgan Coleman and Jordan Boissonneault each drove in two runs.

Massabesic pitcher Sarah Guimond allowing three earned runs on six hits in 61/3 innings.

PORTLAND 13, MCAULEY 1: Gianna Gaudet hit a two-run single during a seven-run second inning and finished with three singles for the Bulldogs (3-1) against the Lions (1-3) in Portland.

Mabel Pence added a two-run double in the second inning.

Portland pitcher Jessica Brown struck out 10 and walked two while throwing a one-hitter.

Pence, Kitiara Rosmus and Morgan Boyle each had a double and a single for the Bulldogs.

NOBLE 15, DEERING 1: Mackenzie Aleva hit a grand slam during an eight-run third inning and finished with five RBI to lead the Knights (2-2) past the Rams (1-3) in five innings at North Berwick.

Tyler Chastney and Lauren Sanger also had two hits apiece.

MacKenzie O’Donnell and Cassidy Coyne of Deering each had a single and a double.

WINDHAM 12, BONNY EAGLE 2: Megan Joy, Lauren Talbot, Danielle Tardiff and Taylor Tibbetts homered for the Eagles (2-1) in a win over the Scots (1-2) in Windham.

Joy hit a solo home run and Talbot hit a two-run shot as part of a five-run second inning.

Tibbetts and Tardiff homered in the fourth.

Melissa McDonald led Bonny Eagle with two hits, including a double.

SCARBOROUGH 30, CHEVERUS 0: Victoria Hale hit a grand slam and Kaleigh Scoville added a three-run homer during a 13-run first inning as the Red Storm (4-0) downed the Stags (0-4) in five innings at Scarborough.

Chloe Gorey and Chloe Griffin finished with four hits apiece, and Scoville and Hannah Ricker each had three hits.

Scarborough pitcher Lilly Volk allowed only one hit.

OAK HILL 2, DIRIGO 0: The Raiders (3-1) scored two runs in the sixth inning, one on a Grace Sabine RBI single, to beat the Cougars (2-2) in Dixfield.

Winning pitcher Makayla Nadeau struck out six and allowed just three hits.

LACROSSE

LAKE REGION 10, GREELY 7: Lindsey Keenan scored four goals, and Lauren Jakobs added three goals and an assist to lead the Lakers (1-0) over the Rangers (1-1) in Cumberland.

Greely was paced by Kelsey Otley with three goals.

Madelyn Nelson finished with nine saves for the Lakers.

MARSHWOOD 9, YORK 7: Hannah Costin had four goals and two assists to lead the Hawks (4-0) over the Wildcats (1-2) in York.

Reagan Nichols added two goals and an assist, and Marin Smith had a goal and two assists.

Martha McCaddin scored three goals for York, which also got two goals from Lindsey Cole and a goal and two assists from Alexandra Labor.

MORSE 13, CAMDEN HILLS 2: Paige Daigle had five goals and an assist to lead the Shipbuilders (2-0) over the Windjammers (1-1) in Bath.

Madison Olsen, Amanda Gagne and Noa Sreden each added two goals. Olsen had two assists, and Gagne and Sreden each had one.

Katherine Orne and Eve Gutheinz scored for Camden Hills.
