GORHAM — Susie Graham and Mariah Deschino scored two goals apiece and Erin Foley finished with nine saves to lead Cape Elizabeth to an 8-7 win over Gorham in a girls’ lacrosse match Saturday.

Deschino, who also had one draw control and three ground balls, gave the Capers (1-2) an 8-6 lead with her second goal.

The Rams (1-1) cut the deficit to 8-7 when Audrey Perrault scored on an assist from Hailey Morrill with 1:31 left in regulation.

Marina Pappalardo led Gorham with three goals. Perrault and Jen Darasz finished with two goals apiece.

FALMOUTH 9, THORNTON ACADEMY 8: Sydney Bell scored five goals, including the eventual game-winner, as the Yachtsmen (3-0) edged the Trojans (1-1) in Saco.

Bell’s fifth goal gave Falmouth a 9-7 lead with five minutes remaining and proved decisive when Faith Sinclair countered for Thornton.

Olivia Stucker added two goals and an assist for Falmouth.

Sinclair notched four goals and Paige LeBlanc had two for Thornton.

BOOTHBAY 8, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 7: Kate Friant scored four goals to lead the Seagulls (1-1) to a victory over Fryeburg (0-3) in Boothbay Harbor.

Lincoln Hamblett added two goals, and Jackie McLoon and Helen Hamblett notched one each.

McKenna Gerchman and Ali Fraize each scored twice for the Raiders, with Kalie Eastman, Hannah Frye and Bridget Tweedie also finding the cage.

Fryeburg goalie Harmony Dagnelt recorded nine saves. Boothbay goalie Page Brown finished with 12 saves.

WAYNFLETE 10, SCARBOROUGH 5: Christian Rowe scored three times in the second half as the Flyers (2-1) pulled away from the Red Storm (2-1) in Portland.

Lydia Giguere’s goal with 22 seconds left in the first half gave Waynflete a 4-3 lead.

Rowe finished with five goals and an assist. Nina Moore contributed three goals and Giguere had two.

Ellie Smith and Emma Smith each scored twice for the Red Storm.

Charlotte Majercik had made nine saves for the Flyers, and Sami Shoebottom stopped 15 shots for Scarborough.

MASSABESIC 12, GREELY 8: Maquila DiMastrantonio notched four goals and assisted on a fifth, and Delia Sylvain added three goals and three assists while leading the Mustangs (1-1) past the Rangers (1-2) in Waterboro.

DiMastrantonio scored three times in the first half and Sylvain scored twice to open a 7-3 lead. Massabesic widened the lead to 10-4 in the second half before the Rangers rallied to within 10-8.

Courtney Sullivan, Kelsey Otley, Katherine Leggat-Barr and Mariah Belisle each scored twice for Greely.

LAKE REGION 12, ERSKINE ACADEMY 3: Lindsey Keenan and Rachel Shanks scored three goals each for the Lakers (2-0) during a win over the Eagles (1-1) in Naples.

Lauren Jakobs added two goals for Lake Region, while Audrey Jordon scored twice for Erskine.

Lake Region goalies Maddy Nelson and Emily Lake combined for eight saves.

CONY 5, McAULEY 4: Annie Brannigan scored three goals to lead the Rams (1-1) to a victory in Portland. Sam Aker and Savanna Poulin also scored for Cony, Sarah Caron had an assist, and Lizzy Dennison made nine saves.

Elizabeth Poulin had a goal and an assist for McAuley (1-2). Jordyn Carr finished with 13 saves.

MESSALONSKEE 19, CHEVERUS 7: Ally Turner scored eight goals and Lydia Dexter added four as the Eagles cruised to a victory in Oakland.

India Languet also scored a pair of goals for the Eagles (2-0).

Cheverus dropped to 0-2.

SOFTBALL

TEMPLE 7, VALLEY 4: Delaney Carr struck out 13 to help lead the Bereans (1-0) to a win in Waterville.

Kiara Carr led the Temple offense with three singles and a double, while Jaimee Feugill had a pair of singles.

Valley fell to 1-1.
