SCARBOROUGH — Katie Verreault and Laura Powell hit home runs, and Chloe Griffin had three hits, three RBI and a run as Scarborough rolled to a 12-0 victory against Thornton Academy in a five-inning SMAA softball game Friday.

Verreault hit a two-run homer during a four-run second inning and Powell added a three-run blast to spark a six-run third. Powell finished with two hits and two runs.

Lilly Volk of the Red Storm (12-0) finished with nine strikeouts and no walks in a three-hitter.

Hayden Campbell hit a pair of singles for the Trojans (9-4).

SOUTH PORTLAND 4, MASSABESIC 3: Stephanie Aceto hit a two-run double in the second inning and was the winning pitcher with five strikeouts as the Red Riots (3-8) defeated the Mustangs (8-5) at South Portland.

The Mustangs tied the game in the third on RBI singles by Grace Tutt and Lacey Bean. Miranda Gleason of South Portland then drove in Grace Rende with RBI singles in the third and fifth.

Aceto allowed seven hits, walking one.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 7, SACOPEE VALLEY 1: Lexi L’Heureux-Carland went 3 for 3 and drove in two runs to lead the Raiders (9-4) over the Hawks (5-8) at Fryeburg.

Fryeburg scored in the first five innings to build a 7-0 lead. Mackenzie Buzzell added two hits with three runs and an RBI triple, and Nicole Bennett added two hits. Bennett, the winning pitcher, allowed one run on seven hits, striking out two.

Annette Humphrey and McKenzie Fox had two hits for the Hawks.

OCEANSIDE 6, ERSKINE ACADEMY 0: Kalyn Grover hit a two-run single as part of a four-run third inning to lead the Mariners (12-0) over the Eagles (7-6) at Rockland.

Grover drove in four runs, Ari Curtis had two hits, including a double and an RBI, and Chloe Jones allowed one walk with nine strikeouts for Oceanside.

Megan Dunn had two hits for Erskine, and Kayla Hodgkins struck out six with one walk.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 6, LAKE REGION 0: Alie Martell pitched a four-hit shutout, striking out 11 and walking none to lead the Patriots (8-4) past the Lakers (2-11) at Naples.

Hannah Dixon and Skye Conley each had a pair of hits for Gray-New Gloucester,

Liz Cole had two singles for Lake Region.

YORK 13, KENNEBUNK 0: Stephanie Rundlett threw a perfect game, striking out 15, and York (12-1) totaled 20 hits to beat the Rams (4-9) in six innings at Kennebunk.

Kelsey Cole had three hits and drove in two runs, and Kiley Blondin added three hits. Olivia Coughlin had two hits, including a two-run single in the sixth to end the game. Wendy Donnell, Maeve Campbell and Julia Harrod each added two hits.

WELLS 14, FREEPORT 0: Olivia Durfee had three hits, including a triple and double, drove in three runs and scored three times to pace a 15-hit offense for the Warriors (8-5) against the Falcons (3-10) in five innings at Freeport.

Anya Chase and Samantha Bogue added three hits apiece and each tripled for the Warriors. Chase scored twice and drove in a run, and Bogue drove in two runs.

Karissa Kenyon and Chase combined on a one-hitter, striking out four batters apiece.

Megan Cormier hit a second-inning single for Freeport.

SANFORD 6, GORHAM 3: The Spartans (11-2) scored four runs in the sixth inning, including an RBI double by Morgan Coleman and a two-run double by Abby Blouin, to beat the Rams (5-8) at Sanford.

Molly Boissonneault was 2 for 3 with an RBI for Sanford.

Shayla Harris went 2 for 3 and drove in a pair of runs for Gorham.

Jen Jones of the Spartans allowed three runs on seven hits, striking out 12 and walking one.

PORTLAND 6, DEERING 2: The Bulldogs (7-6) scored four runs in the fifth inning, including a bases- loaded single by Isabelle DiMillo, and defeated the visiting Rams (2-11) at Portland.

Morgan Boyle had a pair of singles and Jessica Brown added a triple for Portland.

MacKenzie O’Donnell had two hits for Deering.

Brown allowed two runs on four hits, striking 10 and walking one.

GREELY 10, FALMOUTH 3: Kelsey Currier allowed three runs on six hits, striking out eight and walking two for the Rangers (10-3), who scored eight runs in the sixth inning and beat the Yachtsmen (5-8) at Cumberland.

Currier had a two-run homer in the third and Kayley Cimino added a grand slam in the sixth for Greely.

Jesse Collin had a solo homer and Maddie Rouhana added a pair of hits for Falmouth.

NOKOMIS 14, MEDOMAK VALLEY 0: Mike Massow tossed a five-inning no-hitter to lead the Warriors (6-7) over Medomak Valley (4-8) at Newport.

WESTBROOK 13, CHEVERUS 7: Camryn LaPierre had three hits, including a triple and a double, drove in three runs and scored three times to lead the Blue Blazes (3-10) past the Stags (0-13) at Portland.

Maddison LeBeau struck out 12 in a five-hitter for Westbrook.

YARMOUTH 16, BRUNSWICK 1: Ella Antolini had three goals and two assists for the Clippers (8-1) against the Dragons (2-7) at Yarmouth.

Meredith Lane and Emma Glessner added three goals apiece for Yarmouth.

MASSABESIC 16, WINDHAM 5: Maquila DiMastrantonio had six goals and two assists, and Delia Sylvain added two goals and five assists to lead the Mustangs (8-1) over the Eagles (7-2) at Waterboro.

Madison Drain and Skylar Renaud chipped in three goals apiece for Massabesic.

MORSE 12, MT. ARARAT 9: Amanda Gagne had three goals and two assists to lead the Shipbuilders (8-0) past the Eagles (3-6) at Bath.
