I seldom express my personal wants because I have what we Americans would classify as the wants of a happy person. Of course there are issues, serious and complex: income disparity, racial tensions, North Korean nuclear program, Russian aggression, Chinese muscle flexing, etc.
My one remaining want is really quite simple. I want to continue the progress of America.
We Americans must get past daily headlines, social media, television and radio and truly think about our two leading candidates for this presidential election.
Hillary Clinton, while not perfect, has the rational capacity, intellect, wisdom, and compassion to deal with the complex national and international issues that we have now and that are sure to continue.
Donald Trump does not. He is a contemporary P.T. Barnum; he is the emperor who wears no clothes.
I want my America to continue to be the country for my grandchildren. That is what I want.
