York Hospital nurse earns award from association
York Hospital’s Annette Bettencourt, R.N., was awarded the Sister Consuela White Spirit of Nursing Award from the American Nurses Association recently.
Bettencourt was honored at the ANA-Maine 2016 annual meeting at the Hilton Garden Inn on Sept. 29 in Freeport.
York Hospital’s chief nursing officer Ellie Milo said “The patients, staff, and providers of York Hospital are extremely fortunate to have Annette on our team. (She is) a wonderful, dedicated nurse who has been caring for patients here for nearly 17 years. Her expertise directly contributes to the high standard of care that our nurses are so well known for.”
The award is presented annually to a registered nurse who demonstrates the spirit of nursing by the care, concern, respect, and knowledge that he or she demonstrates in interactions with patients and families, coworkers, the profession and the community.
