STANDISH — Reserve Tim Blair hit a 3-point jumper with 9:26 to play in the first half to give Lasell a two-point lead, sparking a 20-12 run to end the first half as it pulled away to beat St. Joseph’s 63-49 in men’s basketball Tuesday night.

Armin Omanovic had 22 points to lead Lasell (5-2, 3-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference). Blair finished with 16 points, including 4 for 8 from 3-point range, and John Powell added 10 points.

Ian Mileikis had 12 points to lead St. Joseph’s (3-4, 2-1).

SOUTHERN MAINE 93, UMAINE-FARMINGTON 65: James Starks III had 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead three starters in double figures as the Huskies (3-4) beat the Beavers (2-4) in a nonconference game at Gorham.

With the game tied 17-17, Christian McCue hit a 3-point shot with 11:42 to play in the first half to spark a 12-0 run as USM took the lead for good.

SOUTHERN MAINE CC 104, GREAT BAY CC 84: Reserve Dylan Silvestri had a game-high 29 points and 14 rebounds as the Seawolves (10-2, 5-1 Yankee Small College Conference) topped the Herons (4-8, 3-6) at South Portland.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

SALEM ST. 78, SOUTHERN MAINE 69: Norma Waggett scored 15 of her game-high 35 points as the Vikings (4-3) opened a 38-27 halftime lead and defeated the host Huskies (2-5) in a nonconference game at Gorham.

Emily Nicholson led Southern Maine with 21 points.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 79, ENDICOTT 68: Ashley Coneys had 24 points to lead the way as the Nor’easters (6-2, 3-0 Commonwealth Coast Conference) handled the Gulls (3-4, 2-1) at Biddeford.

With Endicott up 33-30 at halftime, Gabriella Coppola made a layup to cut the deficit to a point, but UNE answered with a 17-8 run to take a 10-point lead with 3:14 to play in the third quarter.

Alicia Brown had a double-double for the Nor’easters – 18 points and 13 boards.

Hannah Shaw and Emily Pratt each had 13 points to lead the Gulls.

SOUTHERN MAINE CC 77, GREAT BAY CC 35: The Seawolves (11-0, 6-0) jumped to a 21-7 lead after the first quarter and rolled to their 11th consecutive victory as they easily defeated the Herons (3-9, 2-7) at South Portland.

Alicia Ruth had 16 points to lead SMCC.

COLBY 72, BATES 63: Ainsley Burns had a team-high 17 points to lead all five starters in double digits as the Mules (4-3) defeated the Bobcats (2-3) in a nonconference game at Waterville.

Bates took an 18-15 lead at the end of the first quarter, but Colby opened the second quarter on a 9-5 run to take the lead for good at 24-23.

Haley Driscoll finished with 15 points.

Bernadette Conners had 17 points to lead the Bobcats, Carly Christofi chipped in 16.

BOWDOIN 103, UMAINE-FARMINGTON 33: The Polar Bears (6-0) jumped to a 32-13 first quarter lead and cruised by the Beavers (1-6) in a nonconference game at Farmington.

Reserves Lauren Petit and Abigail Kelly led the balanced offense for Bowdoin with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Kennadi Grover had 15 points for UMaine-Farmington.

WOMEN’S HOCKEY

BOWDOIN 4, SOUTHERN MAINE 2: Marissa Fichter had a goal and an assist as the Polar Bears (3-0-2) opened an early 3-0 lead and held off the Huskies (3-6) in a nonconference game at the USM Arena.

Julie Dachille, Meade Avery and Maureen Greason also scored for Bowdoin.

Ally Vandistine and Meghan Concannon scored for the Huskies.

COLBY 2, ST. ANSELM 2: Maura Kieft scored with an assist from Kaitlyn Spillane with 7 seconds remaining in the second period to tie the game for the Hawks (8-1-2) in a tie with the host Mules (0-5-2) in a nonconference game at Waterville.

Taylor Methven and Eleanor Knutzen scored for Colby.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 4, BECKER 1: The Nor’easters (4-5-1) scored a pair of first period goals in the span of 58 seconds and defeated the Hawks (3-7-1) in a nonconference matchup at Marlborough, Massachusetts.
