A man dressed as Santa Claus will arrive in the Portland area next week to hand out crisp $100 bills to people in need.
The public relations firm that handles publicity for Secret Santa Portland said Thursday that he will make unannounced appearances in places such as food banks and thrift shops.
Secret Santa will be handing out cash to people from Dec. 20-23. He is expected to give away about $20,000.

Since his surprise visits began eight years ago, Secret Santa will have given away more than $160,000 through this year.
