SOUTH BERWICK — Celine Lawrence sank a pair of free throws with five seconds remaining to lift Marshwood to a 48-46 win over Falmouth in a Class A South girls’ basketball game Saturday.

Lawrence finished 11 points, Natalie Herbold scored 10 and Noelle Barrett had eight for Marshwood (10-1).

Grace Soucy led Falmouth (5-6) with 12 points. Abigail Ryan and Alaina Birkel each tossed in eight points.

CHEVERUS 59, BONNY EAGLE 56: Abby Cavallaro scored eight of her 19 points in the first quarter to start the Stags (7-2) on their way to a win over the Scots (4-6) in Standish.

Cavallaro helped Cheverus jump out to a 28-18 lead after one quarter, but Bonny Eagle outscored the Stags 13-4 in the second quarter, and the game remained close the rest of the way.

Emme Poulin chipped in with 12 points for Cheverus.

Mackenzie Emery led Bonny Eagle with 15 points. Samantha Averill and Tracie Townsend each added 10.

MAINE GIRLS’ ACADEMY 58, WINDHAM 54: Hope Olsen scored seven of her 10 points in the third quarter as the Lions (4-6) used a 20-11 run to take control against the Eagles (3-7) in Windham.

Maddy Beaulieu finished with 13 points and Zoe Mazur added 10 for MGA, which trailed 22-21 at halftime.

Meghan Hoffses led Windham with 23 points. Hannah Talon chipped in with 14.

YORK 29, WESTBROOK 27: Nina Howe scored 17 points and hit the go-ahead basket with about three minutes remaining as the Wildcats (8-3) edged the Blue Blazes (3-7) in Westbrook.

Westbrook led 15-4 early in the second quarter, but York ended the half on a 9-0 run.

Julia Martel scored 11 points for Westbrook, which led 27-26 before Howe put York ahead for good.

GREELY 79, BIDDEFORD 48: Anna DeWolfe scored 38 points to lead the Rangers (9-1) past the Tigers (1-9) in Cumberland.

Brooke Obar added 15 points for Greely.

Grace Martin paced Biddeford with 32 points and 12 rebounds.

SOUTH PORTLAND 50, NOBLE 37: Eva Mazur and Margaret Whitmore each scored 10 points as the Red Riots (9-2) downed the Knights (0-10) in South Portland.

Raegan Kelly scored 12 points for Noble.

EDWARD LITTLE 46, MASSABESIC 28: Jordyn Reynolds scored 10 of her 17 points in the first half as the Red Eddies (8-2) build a 31-10 lead against the Mustangs (0-10) in Waterboro.

Jade Perry and Grace Fontaine each tossed in nine points.

McKenzy Ouellette paced Massabesic with 12 points.

LAKE REGION 58, CAPE ELIZABETH 45: Chandler True scored all of her 16 points in the first half as the Lakers (6-4) jumped out to a 44-17 lead against the Capers (0-10) in Naples.

Brooke Harriman contributed 12 points and Kristen Huntress had 11 for the Lakers.

Brooke Harvey led Cape with nine points.

POLAND 35, SACOPEE VALLEY 22: The Knights (7-3) hit 11 of 13 free throws in the fourth quarter and Nathalie Theriault scored eight of her 16 points as Poland pulled away from the Hawks (2-9) in South Hiram.

Poland led 12-10 at halftime, and the game was tied 18-18 after three quarters.

Alex Grondin added nine points for Poland.

Helen Ruhlin made three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points for Sacopee Valley.

WELLS 45, TRAIP ACADEMY 23: Natalie Thurber scored 12 points to pace the Warriors (7-3) to a win over the Rangers (3-7) in Wells.

Taryn Lambert added nine points for Wells.

FREEPORT 43, YARMOUTH 30: Taylor Rinaldi and Jessie Driscoll scored 15 points apiece to lead the Falcons (8-2) over the Clippers (6-4) at Yarmouth.

Freeport outscored Yarmouth 31-18 in the second half.

Cory Langenbach led the Clippers with 12 points. Johanna Hattan added 11.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 49, MT. VIEW 29: Brie Wajer led a balanced attack with eight points as the Eagles (6-4) beat the Mustangs (3-6) in Thorndike.

Anna Hatch, Katie Moore and Kaitlyn Feltis scored seven points apiece for Lincoln.

Andrea Crosby led Mt. View with 11 points, while Shala Davis scored 10.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 28, ISLESBORO 20: Kaeley Brann scored eight points to lead the Lions (2-6) to a win over the Eagles (0-6) in Islesboro.

Islesboro’s Emily Lau scored 11 points.

MT. BLUE 38, LEAVITT 33: Leah St. Laurent led a balanced offense with seven points as the Cougars (2-7) beat the Hornets (5-7) in Farmington.

Leavitt’s Elizabeth Goulette scored 13 points.

MESSALONSKEE 73, CONY 45: Sophie Holmes scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Eagles (10-0) to a win in Augusta.

MCI 48, MARANACOOK 19: Ciera Hamlin scored 19 points for the Huskies (7-4) in a win over the Black Bears (0-11) in Pittsfield.

Dee Urena chipped in with 13 points. Grace Depres led Maranacook with six points.

FORT KENT 44, SHEAD 41: Cassidy Lovely and Libby Lapoint each scored 13 points and the Warriors (7-4) held the Tigers (10-1) scoreless in overtime to get a win in Fort Kent.

Holly Preston and Katelyn Mitchell each scored 10 points for Shead.

GREELY 3, EDWARD LITTLE/LEAVITT/POLAND 2: Molly Horton scored a tiebreaking goal with 42 seconds left in the second period as the Rangers (10-1) edged the Red Eddies (8-3-1) in Auburn.

Horton’s goal made it 2-1, and Courtney Sullivan added to the lead early in the third.

Sullivan also assisted on Emilee McGillicuddy’s goal that gave Greely a 1-0 lead midway through the second period.

Mariah Vaillancourt scored both goals for the Red Eddies.

CAPE ELIZABETH/WAYNFLETE/SOUTH PORTLAND 9, PORTLAND/DEERING 3: Kate Ginder powered the offense for the Capers (5-6) with three goals and four assists as they cruised past the Bulldogs (1-11) at Troubh Ice Arena.

Hannah Bosworth and Sophia Venditti each added two goals and an assist, Abby Ekedahl had a goal and two assists, and Eliza Connelly also scored.

Inez Braceras, Raven Bradenday and Maeve Leclair scored for Portland/Deering.

CHEVERUS/KENNEBUNK/OOB 6, BIDDEFORD/THORNTON 2: Freshmen Abby Lamontagne scored three goals and Lilly Wolff added a pair to lead the Stags (5-6) over the Tigers (1-8-1) at Troubh Ice Arena.
