For the second time this week, Maine drug enforcement agents arrested a drug trafficking suspect from New York City as he got off a bus in Bangor.

Temaur Murdaugh, 19, of Brooklyn, New York, was arrested late Wednesday night after he got off a bus on Union Street, said Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

After leaving the bus, Murdaugh got into the front seat of a pickup truck that was waiting for him. Bangor police and agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency stopped the truck and arrested him. The officers say they seized about an ounce of crack cocaine, with a street value of $3,000.

Murdaugh was taken to the Penobscot County Jail in Bangor, charged with trafficking in cocaine base. His bail was set at $50,000.

McCausland said Tylee Felder, 21, of Brooklyn was arrested Monday after he got off a bus in Bangor.

McCausland said Felder and Murdaugh apparently know each other, and drug agents think the drugs brought into Maine by Murdaugh were to be sold to help raise money for Felder’s $25,000 cash bail.
