A New Hampshire man arrested Tuesday afternoon in Wells is facing multiple drug charges after police say they found cocaine, oxycodone and Suboxone in his possession at the York County Jail.

Anthony Soto, 31, was a passenger in a car stopped for a traffic violation on Route 109 in Wells around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. State Trooper Jesse Duda arrested Soto after determining the Rochester, New Hampshire, man was wanted for a probation violation in Strafford County, New Hampshire.

Soto was on probation in New Hampshire for drug trafficking, police said.

Soto was taken to the York County Jail, where he was found with 19 grams of cocaine, 61 oxycodone tablets and 19 Suboxone strips, police said. He was charged with being a fugitive from justice and for illegal trafficking in prison contraband, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs (cocaine), unlawful trafficking in oxycodone and unlawful trafficking in Suboxone.

Bail was set at $15,000 on the drug charges and no bail was allowed on the fugitive charge. Soto is scheduled to make his first court appearance Wednesday in Springvale District Court and will be extradited to New Hampshire.
