NEW YORK – Jayson Tatum scored 24 points and No. 14 Duke rallied past No. 6 North Carolina with another surge in the second half Friday night, taking advantage of foul trouble for Tar Heels point guard Joel Berry II and beating its fierce rival 93-83 in the Atlantic Coast Conference semifinals.

Luke Kennard had 20 points and reserve Grayson Allen added 18 for the Blue Devils (26-8), who will play for the title Saturday night in Brooklyn.

By winning the second game between the teams in seven days, fifth-seeded Duke took 2 of 3 in the season series against the top-seeded Tar Heels (27-7). It was their first ACC tournament matchup since the Blue Devils won the 2011 championship game.

(2) VILLANOVA 55, SETON HALL 53: Josh Hart scored 19 points, including the winning basket with 9.6 seconds to play, and Villanova (30-3) beat Seton Hall (21-11) in the semifinals of the Big East tournament at New York.

(8) KENTUCKY 71, GEORGIA 60: Isaiah Briscoe and De’Aaron Fox each scored 20 points, Bam Adebayo added 13 and Kentucky (27-5) went on to beat Georgia (19-14) in the quarterfinals of the Southeastern Conference tournament at Nashville, Tennessee.

(12) SOUTHERN METHODIST 81, EAST CAROLINA 77: Semi Ojeleye scored 36 points and SMU (28-4) held off East Carolina (15-18) in the quarterfinals of the American Athletic Conference tournament in Hartford, Connecticut.

MICHIGAN 74, (13) PURDUE 70: Michigan (22-11) reached the Big Ten semifinals with an overtime upset of 13th-ranked Purdue (25-7) behind D.J. Wilson’s 26 points, at Washington.

(15) CINCINNATI 80, TULSA 61: Kyle Washington scored 21 points and Jacob Evans added 20 to lead Cincinnati (28-4) over Tulsa (15-17) in the American Athletic Conference quarterfinals.

VANDERBILT 72, (17) FLORIDA 62: Riley LaChance scored five of his 18 points in overtime, and Vanderbilt (19-14) topped Florida (24-8) in the Southeastern Conference tournament quarterfinals in Nashville, Tennessee.

(23) IOWA STATE 84, TEXAS CHRISTIAN 63: Deonte Burton scored 22 points, Monte Morris had 15 and Iowa State (22-10) routed TCU (19-15) at Kansas City, Missouri, to reach its third Big 12 tournament title game in the past four seasons.

(24) WISCONSIN 70, INDIANA 60: Wisconsin (24-8) used Ethan Happ’s 14 points and 12 rebounds to beat Indiana (18-15) in the Big Ten quarterfinals at Washington.
