I really don’t know where to begin with the state of affairs here in the United States.

In 2008, we elected a president who was neither my husband’s nor my choice. We were disappointed; we looked at each other and stated that he deserved a chance. It would be very nice to see that same attitude given to President Trump. He has to be given a chance.

I’m so annoyed at our legislative body of elected officials, who are in lockstep with the leaders of their party and keeping our elected president from doing his job. Never in my life did I think I’d see the United States taken to such a low.

Among the Democrats, the Freedom Caucus members and any other followers on Capitol Hill, is there a brave patriot who will come to the aid of our country? Do what is right for our country? Stop petty vengeance? Every member of the House and Senate should be talking to each other and getting along for the sake of the citizens – and I stress citizens– of the United States of America. Stop playing follow-the-leader! Stop being afraid!

The world is a mess. Enemy countries are killing their own, going nuclear, firing missiles, etc. We’re on their radar, folks. We need to think of our country first to keep us safe, to keep our culture and to keep our freedoms.

Please, folks – let your elected representatives know that we are in trouble, and they need to keep us out of it. Work together. Wake up to the fact that we have a new president who needs support from all of us.
