NEW ENGLAND BEER DINNER

WHEN: 7 to 9 p.m.

WHERE: The Thirsty Pig, 37 Exchange St., Portland

HOW MUCH: $50 including tax and gratuity

DETAILS: Hill Farmstead, High and Mighty, Cambridge Brewing Co., Rising Tide, White Birch, paired with five-course New England-style dinner. All brewers present for dinner.

NOV. 5

DOMESTIC BELIGAN NIGHT

WHEN: 6 to 10 p.m.

WHERE: The Thirsty Pig, 37 Exchange St., Portland

HOW MUCH: Pay as you go

DETAILS: Belgian beers on tap with Silver Moon Creamery Cheese pairings.

TALES FROM THE BREWHOUSE

WHEN: 6 p.m.

WHERE: Andy’s Old Port Tavern, 94 Commercial St., Portland

HOW MUCH: Pay as you go

DETAILS: Presented by Baxter Brewing. A night of unfortunate brewing stories told by local brewers.

GREAT LOST BEAR: MAINE BREWED PALE ALES

WHEN: Open 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

WHERE: Great Lost Bear, 540 Forest Ave., Portland

HOW MUCH: Pay as you go

DETAILS: The bar will have Geary’s Pale Ale, Funky Bow End of the Line Pale Ale, Andrew’s English Pale Ale, Maine Beer Peeper Ale, Rising Tide Daymark, Bunker, Run of the Mill Alewife, and more.

 THE MAINE BREW BUS/PORTLAND TASTE TOURS TRAVELING BREWERS DINNER: BUNKER BREWING CO.

WHEN: 4:30 to 8 p.m.

WHERE: Pick up and drop off at Bunker Brewing Co., 122 Anderson St., Portland

HOW MUCH: $85; to reserve a spot call 200-9111 or go to bunkerbeerdinner.eventbrite.com.

DETAILS: Make your way on a progressive brewers dinner with courses at Bunker Brewing Co., Sonnys, Local 188, and Salvage BBQ. Enjoy specially planned pairings at each stop with head brewer/owner Chresten Sorensen acting as host.

LAGUNITAS/GREEN FLASH FEATURED AT NOSH

WHEN: 6 p.m.

WHERE: Nosh Kitchen Bar, 551 Congress St., Portland

HOW MUCH: Pay as you go

DETAILS: A tap takeover by Lagunitas and Green Flash; specials will be available.

SEBAGO PARTY

WHEN: Opens at 4 p.m.

WHERE: Novare Res Bier Cafe, 4 Canal Plaza, Portland

HOW MUCH: Pay as you go

DETAILS: Beer tasting and specials

FERMENTATION DEMO, TALK AND TASTING - HARD CIDAH

WHEN: 5 to 8 p.m.

WHERE: Urban Farm Fermentory, 200 Anderson St., Bay 4, Portland

HOW MUCH: Free

DETAILS: Join Dan Rudy, UFF’s new cidah maker as he demonstrates and discusses the wild and cultured home brewing of hard cidah. Anyone is free to bring their home brewed cider for evaluation.

ALLAGASH/SHELTON BROTHERS PARTY

WHEN: Opens at 4 p.m.

WHERE: Novare Res Bier Cafe,

4 Canal Plaza, Portland

HOW MUCH: Pay as you go

DETAILS: Selections from Shelton Brothers and Allagash

BLIND IPA TASTING

WHEN: 4 to 7 p.m.

WHERE: The Thirsty Pig, 37 Exchange St., Portland

HOW MUCH: $20

DETAILS: Blind beer tasting competition. Taste and identify all 10 IPA’s on draft. Ten-beer flight and mini-sampler tasting included in price. The person who can name all 10 correctly will win $500. In the event of a tie, the cash prize will be split.
