BANGOR — A former Eastern Maine Community College student has been indicted in connection with a fatal stabbing in Bangor earlier this month.
Twenty-three-year-old Akeem Harris of Amityville, N.Y., is accused of stabbing 30-year-old Thomas Taylor outside an apartment building on April 9. He made his court appearance two days after being indicted on a charge of murder.
WABI-TV said Harris withdrew from the college in Bangor after the stabbing.
Police say he and Taylor fought in a parking lot of the Birch Circle Apartments where Taylor was found with a stab wound to the chest. He died later at a hospital.
