Brian A. Morin, 30, of 35 Jefferson St., and Bryan Wood, 23, of 131 Bartlett St., were each indicted by a grand jury on three counts of arson.
The men, who knew each other, were arrested May 10. They are being held at the Androscoggin County Jail.
The fires that were allegedly started by Morin and Wood destroyed two vacant buildings on Bartlett Street and damaged a third apartment building on Horton Street. They were the third major fire to rip through the city’s downtown since April 29.
A pair of 12-year-old boys were charged separately with arson in the earlier apartment fires. In all, about 200 people were displaced by the three fires.
