AUGUSTA — Gas prices in Maine continue to fall, yet remain significantly higher than the national average.
Price-tracking website MaineGasPrices.com reports Monday that the average retail price of a gallon of gas has dropped nearly 3 cents in Maine in the past week, to an average of $3.60.
During the same period, national prices dropped more than three cents to an average of $3.46 per gallon.
Current prices in Maine are a now almost 30 cents per gallon lower than a month ago, but still a dime per gallon higher than a year ago.
