NEWFIELD – A homeowner suffered burns after he tried to extinguish a fire that started near his woodstove.
Newfield Fire Chief David Neville said the man, whose name was unavailable, had to be transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland with unknown injuries.
Neville said the fire started in a couch, which had been left too close to the woodstove.
