OLD ORCHARD BEACH – A man described as having “muscular” physique and wearing a ski mask robbed a Rite Aid Pharmacy in Old Orchard Beach Thursday night.

Lt. Tim DeLuca said a man entered the pharmacy at 15 Saco Ave. around 6:45 p.m. and told the pharmacist he had a handgun. The man then demanded that the pharmacist hand over prescription medications.

After obtaining the drugs the suspect fled on foot. Police say the man used a vehicle to escape.
He is described as being between 6 and 6’3 inches tall, with a fair complexion and a muscular build. Police say he is about 30 years old. The suspect was wearing red colored sweatpants with writing on them and a dark colored jacket or sweatshirt.

He fled in a late 1990s style Dodge Caravan. The vehicle was two-tone silver over black paint with damage to the front passenger side fender.
