Troopers with the Maine State Police gather in front of a damaged house in Union Beach, N.J., one of the areas they've been patrolling since Hurricane Sandy devastated the area. Maine troopers joined hundreds of others from around the country to help protect people and property after the storm did billions of dollars in damage to the mid-Atlantic shore, leaving thousands of residents without homes or power.
