AUBURN, N.H. — Police in Auburn, N.H., say someone threw a pipe bomb from a moving vehicle, which exploded and killed a small animal.
Police said witnesses reported seeing the pipe bomb being thrown on Monday afternoon from the vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Bypass 28 toward Derry.
WMUR-TV reports police said the pipe bomb left an 8-inch hole in the ground and killed the animal on the other side of the road. They did say not what type of animal was killed.
Police said the homemade device was about 6 to 8 inches long, made out of a steel pipe with caps on the end.
