Seacoast Fun Park seeks Windham's OK to expand

Plans call for new parking areas, a new restaurant, more snow-tubing lanes and new water features, including a ‘lazy river’ float ride.

From staff reports

WINDHAM — Seacoast Fun Park and Snow Park plans several improvements, including the addition of new waterslides, expansion of snow-tubing runs and a new restaurant that would also serve beer and wine, according to an application submitted to the Windham Planning Board by the park’s owner.

The board is scheduled to vote Monday on Seacoast owner and President Roy Moore’s application to expand the park at 932 Roosevelt Trail in Windham.

Moore could not be reached for comment Thursday afternoon.

In November, the Windham Town Council approved applications by Moore for licenses to serve food, beer and wine at the park’s proposed new restaurant.

The pending application for a site-plan amendment seeks town approval for “new parking areas, an expansion of the snow-tubing lanes, a 5,300-square-foot expansion of the clubhouse to include a restaurant use, and new water features including a wading pool, waterslides and a ‘lazy river’ float ride.”

Seacoast offers a variety of activities and attractions depending on the season, including a water park in the summer and snow tubing in the winter. It also has a forest-adventure attraction known as Crazy Apes Tree Top Adventure Trails & Zip Park.

The park, which is open only on weekends, generates $1 million to $2 million in revenue each year, according to public documents.
