WINDHAM — Windham police are searching for the driver of a red 1988 Jeep Wrangler who fled the scene of an accident that took place late Saturday night.

Sgt. David Bonneau said two people, who were in a 1998 Honda Accord that was hit by the Jeep, were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Scott Kimball, 41, of Windham, identified as the driver of the Accord, and his teenage son were injured in the crash at U.S. Route 302 and Route 115 around 11:15 p.m.

A police canine from the city of Westbrook attempted to track the other driver but was unsuccessful. Police said the man appeared to have suffered a head injury in the crash and fled the scene on foot.

Anyone with information concerning the crash is asked to contact Officer Seth Fournier at 892-2525.
