ORONO – Mike Black scored 26 points, including two 3-pointers during a key overtime run, to lead Albany to an 81-77 win over Maine on Sunday in the regular-season finale for both teams.

The Great Danes (16-15, 9-7 America East) trailed 68-66 before scoring seven straight during a 10-2 run against the Black Bears (15-14, 9-7). Black hit his second 3-pointer of the extra period to cap the run and put Albany ahead 76-70.

Blake Metcalf had 12 rebounds and Devlin added 10 for the Great Danes, who outrebounded Maine 41-29.

Gerald McLemore and Troy Barnies each scored 15 points for Maine, which led 65-61 with less than a minute left in regulation.

(2) OHIO STATE 82, INDIANA 61: Deshaun Thomas broke out of a slump with 22 points to lead the Buckeyes (27-2, 14-2 Big Ten) past the Hoosiers (12-17, 3-13) in Columbus, Ohio.

(16) LOUISVILLE 62, (4) PITTSBURGH 59: Kyle Kuric scored 12 points, including two big baskets in overtime that lifted the Cardinals (22-7, 11-5 Big East) past the Panthers (25-4, 13-3) in Louisville, Ky.

(8) PURDUE 67, MICHIGAN STATE 47: JaJuan Johnson had 20 points, 17 rebounds and seven blocks to help the Boilermakers (24-5, 13-3 Big Ten) top the Spartans (16-12, 8-8) in East Lansing, Mich.

(14) UCONN 67, CINCINNATI 59: Kemba Walker scored 11 of his 16 points in the second half, and the Huskies (21-7, 9-7 Big East) snapped a two-game losing streak by pulling away from the Bearcats (22-7, 9-7) in Cincinnati.

BASEBALL

STETSON 3, MAINE 1: Ben Carhart drove in the winning run with a single in the first inning before hitting a home run in the sixth for the Hatters (5-0) in a win over the Black Bears (0-5) at Deland, Fla.

Tyler Patzalek hit a run-scoring double to deep center field in the top of the first to give Maine a 1-0 lead. Jeff Simpson scored on a balk to tie it for Stetson before Carhart’s RBI single in the bottom of the inning.

Jeffery Gibbs took the loss for Maine, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out five in five innings.
