SCARBOROUGH – Tanner Hyland and Jack Tolan scored 22 points each Wednesday night to lead undefeated South Portland to a 76-55 victory against Scarborough in an SMAA schoolboy basketball game.
Jaren Muller added 15 points for the Red Riots (7-0), who led 45-23 by halftime.
Brendan Hall paced the Red Storm (3-4) with 12 points. Dillon Russo and Sam Terry scored 11 each.
MARSHWOOD 81, MASSABESIC 34: All 13 players scored for Marshwood (3-4) against Massabesic (0-7) at Waterboro.
The Hawks used a full-court press to open a 27-4 lead in the first quarter.
Daniel Veino paced the Hawks with 14 points, Drew Bartlett scored 13, Brady Dodge had 11 and Brady Innes 10.
Caleb Campbell and Casey Nava scored 11 points each for Massabesic.
PORTLAND 69, BIDDEFORD 40: Justin Zukowksi scored all of his 15 points in the first half as Portland (7-0) opened a 32-20 lead against the Tigers (2-5) at Biddeford.
Jayvon Pitts-Young led the Bulldogs with 16 points.
Connor Morrison paced Biddeford with 12 points.
DEERING 70, KENNEBUNK 37: Ahmed Ali scored 14 points and Dominic Lature added 12 to lead Deering (6-1) at Kennebunk (0-7).
Labson Abwoch and Liam Densmore chipped in with 10 points apiece for Deering, which led 35-14 at halftime.
Austin Sandler led Kennebunk with eight points.
WESTBROOK 61, WINDHAM 56: Alec Hazlewood scored 20 points and David Breunig added 17 to lift the Blue Blazes (5-2) over the Eagles (2-4) in overtime at Westbrook.
Spencer Hodge made a 3-pointer for Windham in the final seconds of regulation that made it 53-53. Westbrook scored the go-ahead point in overtime on a free throw by Noah Collins.
Dylan Weisser scored 23 points, including seven 3-pointers, for Windham, and Hodge finished with 18 points.
OLD ORCHARD BEACH 48, RICHMOND 37: Nick Carlin scored 11 points to help the Seagulls (4-3) defeat Richmond (2-4) at Old Orchard Beach.
Joe Gildard scored 10 points and Anthony Langella-Laws led Old Orchard with nine rebounds.
The Seagulls scored 21 points in the second quarter to take a 27-10 lead into halftime. Jacob Douglass scored all six of his points in the second.
Mike Stewart led Richmond with 11 points.
GORHAM 60, THORNTON ACADEMY 56: Alex Owens and Jon Woods led a third-period defensive effort that enabled the Rams (2-5) to transform a seven-point halftime deficit into a 43-39 lead against the Golden Trojans (2-4) at Gorham.
Owens also hit a pair of free throws that gave Gorham a four-point lead with 10 seconds left.
Elliott Speirs led the Rams with 15 points, Ryan Sullivan scored 11 and Owens 10. Quinn Richardson-Newton led the Trojans with 19, Jeffrey Gelinas added 14 and Reuben Moses 10.
BRUNSWICK 50, ERSKINE ACADEMY 48: The Dragons (4-3) pulled ahead with 21/2 minutes left and held off the Eagles (0-6) at South China.
Blake Gordon led Brunswick with 17 points. Brad Smith added 11.
Devin Duncan scored a game-high 20 points for Erskine. Caleb McGurie added 15 points and 10 rebounds.
LAWRENCE 52, BANGOR 49: Xavier Lewis scored 25 points, including all 13 for Lawrence (7-1) in the fourth quarter, to help beat the Rams (4-3) at Bangor.
Spencer Carey added 10 points for Lawrence. Connor Adams scored 19 and Alex Campbell 17 for Bangor.
VALLEY 54, FOREST HILLS 53: Carrington Miller scored 22 points as the Cavaliers (6-1) held off Forest Hills (7-1) at Bingham.
Seth Malloy added 16 points for Valley.
Matt Turner led the Tigers with 18 points.
WINDHAM/SACOPEE VALLEY 5, WESTBROOK 1: Zack Callahan scored twice, and Danny Stewart added a goal and an assist to lead Windham/Sacopee Valley (2-4) over the Blue Blazes (1-5) at Gorham.
Owen Phillips and Casey Dumont also scored for Windham/Sacopee Valley, which led 5-0 after two periods.
Darian Doucette scored for Westbrook 1:33 into the third period.
LAWRENCE 7, OLD TOWN 1: Tyler Boudreau had three goals and two assists to lead the Bulldogs (4-4) over Old Town (0-5) at Winslow.
