(18) MICHIGAN STATE 59, (11) OHIO STATE 56: Keith Appling made two free throws with 7.9 seconds left and finished with 15 points to help the Spartans (16-3, 5-1 Big Ten) beat the Buckeyes (13-4, 3-2) at East Lansing, Mich.

WICHITA STATE 67, (12) CREIGHTON 64: Carl Hall had 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Malcolm Armstead hit two key free throws in the closing seconds for the Shockers (17-2, 6-1 Missouri Valley Conference) in a win over the Bluejays (17-2, 6-1) at Wichita, Kan.

WYOMING 58, (15) SAN DIEGO STATE 45: Leonard Washington had 14 points and 14 rebounds to help the Cowboys (15-2, 2-2 Mountain West) beat the Aztecs (14-4, 2-2) at Laramie, Wyo.

(16) KANSAS STATE 69, OKLAHOMA 60: Rodney McGruder scored 20 points and Will Spradling added 15 for the Wildcats (15-2, 4-0 Big 12) in a win over the Sooners (12-4, 3-1) at Manhattan, Kan.

(20) NOTRE DAME 69, RUTGERS 66: Jack Cooley had 19 points, 10 rebounds and Scott Martin drew a charge with 2 seconds left to help the Irish (15-3, 3-2 Big East) hold off the Scarlet Knights (14-4, 3-3) at South Bend, Ind.

(21) OREGON 76, (24) UCLA 67: Tony Woods scored 18 points, and the visiting Ducks (16-2, 5-0 Pac-12) snapped a 10-game winning streak for UCLA (15-4, 5-1).

(22) VCU 90, DUQUESNE 63: Rob Brandenberg scored 22 points and the host Rams (16-3, 4-0 Atlantic 10) used a 26-2 run to extend their winning streak to 13.

CINCINNATI 71, (25) MARQUETTE 69: Sean Kilpatrick scored seven of his career-high 36 points in overtime, and the Bearcats (16-3, 4-2 Big East) pulled out a win over the visiting Golden Eagles (13-4, 4-1) after blowing a 16-point halftime lead.
