If you’re getting a gift certificate for a loved one at Mimosas, it will also get you a little something in return.
The beauty salon at the Oak Hill Plaza in Scarborough is offering clients a bonus gift if they buy gift certificates, said owner Jerri Greenwood.
If customers buy a $50 gift certificate, they get a free $10 certificate. If they purchase a $75 they get a $15 certificate and $100 gets them $20.
“This is only a special we run during the holiday season as a way to say thanks and it also gets them a little something extra to give as a gift,” Greenwood said. “If they have a babysitter or something, it allows them to give them a gift to say thanks.”
The gift certificates also allow the salon to attract more business and new clients, Greenwood said.
“Usually growing business is word of mouth and we do attract a lot of people through word of mouth,” Greenwood said. “Customers will say, ‘hey, you should go see my manicurist and hair stylist and here’s a gift certificate for you.'”
In addition to gift certificates, the salon is offering an express pedicure and manicure package for $45.
The usual cost for a pedicure is $40 and the manicure is $20.
