Westbrook, Gorham and Bonny Eagle high schools were well represented on the list of SMAA tennis all-stars that was released recently.

For the Westbrook boys, David Born was named a first-team all-star in singles. In addition, Born was also selected to the SMAA’s all-academic team. His teammates Adam LaViolet and Tyler Rand were also selected to the all-academic squad.

The Westbrook girls also placed athletes on the all-academic team. Kathryn Bois, Deanna Bosivert, Lori Anne Esmiller, Hilary Perrey and Jalene Regassa were all honored by the SMAA.

The Gorham girls finished as the No. 2 seed in Class A West and made it all the way to the regional final before falling to Portland. The Rams had several athletes recognized by the SMAA. Natalie Egbert was named to the All-SMAA first team in singles. Teammate Hannah Shorty was selected to the second team for singles and the doubles team of Shannon O’Brien and Brittany Raymond was selected to the All-SMAA second team in doubles.

Additionally, the Rams’ Megan Bilodeau and Julia Parmakian were selected to the SMAA’s all-academic team.

For the Rams’ boys, Thomas Mathieu and William Sutherland were named to the all-academic team.

Bonny Eagle’s Tyler Adams was named a first-team all-star in boys singles. Additionally, Lindsey Campbell, Channing Day and Karli Kesson were selected to the all-academic team for the Scots.
