United Way Night at Friday Pirates’ game

Ticket proceeds from this Friday night’s Portland Pirates home game will go to the United Way Greater Portland’s annual campaign. One hundred percent of the ticket price of Main or Quarter Deck seats will be donated. FMI, liveunitedportland.org.

NBA/WNBA FIT Challenge upcoming

Portland Recreation is hosting a local competition of NBA/WNBA FIT Challenge Saturday at the Riverton Community Center. This is a free competition for boys and girls ages 5 to 14 to challenge their level of fitness in a fun and competitive format. FMI, 756-8275 or dapc@portlandmaine.gov.

Maine Elite Lacrosse clinics upcoming

Maine Elite Lacrosse is offering clinics Sunday and Tuesday nights beginning next month. A weekly clinic with short-sided scrimmages for boys in grades 2-8 will begin Nov. 1 and run Sunday nights through Dec. 20 from 5 to 6 p.m. at YourSpace, 215 Narragansett St., in Gorham. Cheverus varsity boys’ lacrosse coach Deke Andrew will run the program. The price is $150. There will also be an elite 4v4 winter session for advanced Elite level middle schoolers Tuesday nights Nov. 3 through Dec. 22 from 6 to 7 p.m., at the Portland Sports Complex behind Jokers. Sea Dogs pitcher offering clinic

Portland Sea Dogs pitcher Ryne Lawson will present a pitching clinic Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Falmouth Middle School gym. The 8-12 year old session goes from 6 to 7 p.m. A 13-18 year old clinic runs from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. The cost is $20. FMI, 318-6056 or matthew.rogers@ubs.com.

Casco Bay Sports presents November Sports Leagues

Casco Bay Sports is offering several co-ed sports leagues beginning next month. Sunday Evening Basketball starts Nov. 1. Monday Night Bowling begins Nov. 16. Wednesday Dodgeball starts Nov. 18. Greely hockey holding annaul Turkey Trot
