The following American Red Cross blood drives are open to the public:

1 to 6 p.m., Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Mechanic Falls


8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Moody’s Collision, Gorham


Noon to 6 p.m., St. Martha’s Church, Kennebunk

1 to 6 p.m., St. Charles Church, Brunswick


10 a.m. to 4 p.m., University of Southern Maine, Gorham

11 a.m. to 4 p.m., University of Southern Maine, Portland

April 21

1 to 6 p.m., Casco Community Center, Casco

2 to 7 p.m., St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Biddeford

3 to 8 p.m., Bowdoin College, Brunswick


The Portland Donor Center, 524 Forest Ave., is open from noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays; and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first and third Saturdays of each month,

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, except holidays; and noon to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Blood donated through the American Red Cross can be sent to patients at medical centers throughout New England. Platelet donors also are needed, with donations by appointment.
