SOUTH BERWICK – A York man who was behind the wheel of a white GMC pickup truck died after losing control of the vehicle on Route 91 in South Berwick on Wednesday.
The crash happened about 6 p.m. The truck had been seen passing other vehicles just before the crash, police said.
Police said the driver was thrown from the vehicle when the truck went off the road and rolled over. Police attributed the cause of death to massive head trauma.
No other cars or people were involved. The road was shut down for more than three hours as police investigated. Police did not release the man’s name Wednesday night.
