Former Scarborough track standouts (from left) Brad Nakanishi and Sam Chick took part in the NESCAC championships last weekend. Nakanishi, a freshman at Tufts, won the men’s pole vault. Chick, a freshman at Bowdoin, came in fourth in the men’s 400 hurdles. Former Scarborough girls’ star, Kaitlynn Saldanha, of Middlebury, won the women’s 800 meter. A pair of former Cape Elizabeth runners, Colman Hatton, of Bowdoin, (fourth) and Matt Rand, of Tufts, (sixth) took part in the men’s 10,000 meters.
