L.L. Bean’s Summer in the Park concert series will begin June 26, but this year’s schedule does not include many of the big-name headliners as in the past.
There are seven concerts on the schedule, and the biggest star in the series is indie-rock singer-songwriter Mike Doughty, former lead singer of the band Soul Coughing. He performs with Christina Courtin at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 7.

All concerts are free, and begin at 7:30 at Bean’s Discovery Park in Freeport.
While scaling back its summer concert schedule, L.L. Bean has beefed up its family and community-oriented activities at Discovery Park to include a community market with local handmade items, a green expo, a food festval, a Shakespeare festival and a party for dogs.
